What is a VLE?

A VLE is a virtual learning environment, sometimes called learning management system or course management system. Well-known VLEs include BlackBoard, Moodle and Sakai.

Why research VLEs?

Most higher education institutions in Ireland (and internationally) have these systems and we are interested to know how staff and students use them.
